Since opening it’s doors in early 2016, Everkrisp has been serving the freshest salads and grain bowls in town. It’s really the only place in Destin offering healthy, made-to-oder salads with an abundance of local produce and proteins to choose from.
You eat with your eyes first, right? And before you even get to the food, you’ll notice the clean, industrial, warehouse vibe that Everkrisp has going on. Exposed brick, pine beams, and subway tile make for a visually appealing spot.
I’m also a bit partial because my husband’s building company helped create the space.
Onto the food!
The menu is packed with killer salad creations. I’m partial to the Ceasar’s Goat, which comes with Romaine, kale, roasted chicken, hard-boiled egg, tomatoes, parmesan cheese, croutons, and a goat cheese Caesar dressing that is out of this world! It’s hard for me to order anything but this salad when I visit.
I just love the way the creamy dressing coats the kale. The warm Rosemary bread is a must, too. It’s divine!
When I can tear myself away from Caesar’s Goat, the Southern Flavor is my next choice.
This bad boy is loaded with Romaine, spinach, chicken, bacon (OMG their bacon is life-changing), corn, pears, salted pecans, and honey mustard (I usually opt for Ranch). Y’all. The bacon. The pecans. The pears. This salad is pretty amazing.
You can also make your own salad or grain bowl and they are always happy to make substitutions. I don’t care for onions so they always offer me another veggie (as you can see, I added green beans in the salad above).
Everkrisp recently started serving breakfast and the menu features all sorts of avocado toasts and breakfast box options. I was able to try the Show Me the Bacon toast and it was incredible!
Good gracious. The only thing better than avocado toast is avocado toast topped with goat cheesy, bacon, and a runny egg. Everkrisp seriously has the best bacon. It’s thick like pork belly and oh so good.
Toastest with the Mostest was also great with avocado, corn, a poached egg, and key lime Sriracha sauce.
These toasts are so hearty and filling! You can definitely feel good about the quality of ingredients at Everkrisp.
If you aren’t in the mood for toast, give one of the breakfast boxes a try. The Quinoa Hash is full of quinoa, roasted onions, bacon, roasted sweet potatoes, poached eggs, and a side of greens.
I feel like most locals already know and love Everkrisp, but if you’ve yet to try…what are you waiting for? And if you’re visiting the area, stop in for a break from fried fish (though I love me some of that, too)! There is a Destin location and a Grand Boulevard location for those of you in South Walton.
Everkrisp will continue to be a favorite on my lunch-time rotation!
